Read all about The Bossard Quartet playing at Southend Barns, a lovely secluded venue with gorgeous barns and stylish decor
We have been really busy right throughout April playing at many a function. Yesterday we played at two weddings in the same afternoon, which was great! The two events were conveniently located just 1 mile from one another so with a quick pack up from one we could move to the next.
The first was at a venue none of us had been to before – Southend Barns
This was tucked away form a country lane and with a lovely outside space and shaded bar area
This is what it looked like before the guests arrived. It looked very new and we’ll cared for. We played Bruno Mars marry you for the arrival if the newly married Mr and Mrs nevitt. Unfortunately the weather lived up to it’s reputation for April showers so we moved inside one of the barns and continued playing indoors.
We then packed up and headed over to sidlesham to a post wedding blessing party. This was a lovely marque set up in the garden of the groom’s parents’ home. What we liked about the marquee was that it was clear so you still got a sense of being outside. Clearly a lot of effort had gone into decorating the marquee and garden and it looked wonderful.
Here is Sophie and Anna relaxing under the warm roof of the marquee.
WE had a long list of requests to get through including playing queen of Sheba twice through while all the guests were arriving into the marquee. Poor Anna’s fingers after that one! 🙂
