On Saturday we had the pleasure of playing at the wedding of Jane and Bart at Farbridge Barn. We have played at Farbridge countless times before, and love it for its rural feel, beautifully restored barns and great location! There are some rooms and a bridal suite on site too, which make it a great choice for couples.
Farbridge Barns
We were booked to play during the ceremony and the drinks receptions, so we set up ready to go for the entrance of the bride. Jane entered to the room serenely to Bach’s Air In G. For the signing of the register we played Phantom Of The Opera’s All I Ask Of You, and Tchaikovsky’s Waltz Of The Flowers.
For the exit of the couple, we played Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 Mvt 1. It’s fair to say we had a great response to this one for the register who was dancing away as we played everyone out, and told us afterwards that it was her favourite piece of music.
We then arranged ourselves in the main barn for the drinks receptions, and played a fast and exciting selection from our popular repertoire. There are too many to name here, but we played The Killers Human, Barry Manilow Copacabana New Order Love Will Tear Us Apart, a special request for The Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing , and Queen’s Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
We then packed up and left the party lining up for a sumptuous dinner in a barn that was gorgeously decorated.
Thank you for booking The Bossard Quartet and all the best for a very happy married life together!
